Bobbie Neate has written extensively on reading for information and the value of teaching children to read non-fiction at an early age.  She was the non-fiction editor of the Longman Book Project.

She is ex-President of the United Kingdom Reading Association, teacher, Special Needs teacher, advisor, author of children's books and an award winning book on informational reading.

 
Her work is rooted in classroom practice having been a primary school teacher, Special Needs teacher, lecturer in Higher Education and literacy.
 
Maggie Threadingham is an experienced lecturer and consultant on early years and literacy.  She has been a headteacher and  educational consultant.
